Looking for a way to volunteer at Feeding Vermillion?

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community. We offer volunteering options for individuals and small groups (3-6 people). We ask that volunteers commit to at least 3 months (1 semester) of service.

Volunteers are coordinated through the United Way Volunteer Coordinator.

Weekly Volunteer Options:

Food Recovery Team: Recover food from local Vermillion Food Pantry partner grocery and convenience stores such as Walmart, Hy-Vee, Coffee Cup, Kum&Go, and Pump n Pak.

Food Pantry Checker Team: Assist shoppers as they check in and out of the pantry during open shopping hours.

Food Pantry Stocker Team: Unload food delivery trucks and stock shelves, re-package food and items for distribution, clean and organize workrooms.

Welcome Table: Assist with cooking and/or serving meals at the Welcome Table each Monday

Large Group/One-Time Volunteer Options:

Sponsor a Welcome Table: As a group, plan, organize, and serve a meal at the Welcome Table with assistance from John, the Welcome Table Coordinator. This is a wonderful option for families or groups to connect with the community!

Host a Food Drive: Perfect for large groups such as Greek Life as well as businesses, hosting a food drive is a wonderful way to support Feeding Vermillion!
